November 09

If there is anything that might define
The year, then it must be the endless rain
That some insist is certainly a sign
Of global warming caused alone by man.
But then I think such rain is no surprise
Around these parts. The ocean to the west
The rolling hills, that cause the air to rise,
Must bring about the rain however we detest
The soaking climate, where we live. The earth
What’s more has cooled a bit these last ten years;
And so the eco warriors who gave the idea birth
Massage their figures as each crack appears,
To justify their case, defend its worth.
For all the talk there’s little that will bend;
The windmills count for little in the end.
