Adam (aged 6) and theRollercoaster

In spirals set to chill the mind we fly
Screaming and afraid into a blackened sky
Where meteors and rocks appear to come
As evil messengers from some lost sun
Their object to destroy.

Then round and over, up then down,
While all around the thunder sounds
And screaming, screaming people who
Decided freely this they’d do.
They’d take this crazy ride.

Then as we turned upon our head,
And thought we must be shortly dead,
A small child spoke into my ear
And said without a hint of fear,
“What concerns me is the noise.”
