Tempus Fugit

See the drab dark days of winter
And the long, long night.
Then the joyful song of springtime
With the growing light.
Soon the sun soaked days of summer
When the world is bright.
Then the golden tones of Autumn
and the wind's sharp bite.

So onwards slip the seasons ever,
And the years and soon our life.
Though they say time's long in heaven
Right here it's all too brief.

So watch out in what you're doing,
And take care for every day.
Lest your life ends up a ruin
And you go the other way.
